On August 31, 2012 at approximately 8 AM Officers were called to Giant Foods in East Manchester Township for a female who was in custody for retail theft. Tara Bell of Hamilton Ave in York was caught stealing several items from the store. Bell also had an outstanding warrant for unpaid fines.
Charges for retail theft were filed accordingly.
On August 30, 2012 at approximately 4:15 PM Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of Cooper Street in Manchester Borough for a report of a hit and run accident.
Officers learned that an unknown person(s) struck the victims red 1996 Mercury Sable as it sat parked along the roadway.

On August 29, 2012 at approximately 5:30 PM Officers were dispatched to the first block of South Main Street in Manchester Borough for a vehicle which had struck a manhole cover. The vehicle struck the exposed manhole cover which had been exposed from the recent construction. The collision caused both airbags to deploy and the vehicle was rendered inoperable. No injuries were reported.
On August 27, 2012 at approximately 2:40 PM Officers were called to the new MDJ Building located at 202 Rosedale Drive for a vandalism report. Authorities noticed etchings on the wall located next to the glass partition inside the waiting room.
After reviewing the film a suspect was determined. The investigation is ongoing.
On August 27, 2012 at approximately 11:22 PM Officers were called to a two vehicle accident in Mount Wolf Borough. Upon arrival the Officers determined that a rabbit ran out in front of a motorist who swerved to miss it only to strike an oncoming vehicle from the opposite direction.
Remember: It is always the preferred acceptable practice apply your brakes and steer straight when an animal runs out in front of your vehicle. Too often motorists swerve to miss an animal only to hurt themselves or someone else.
