Vandalism In East Manchester Township...

Sometime overnight on August 20, 2012 unknown person(s) drove through the Gross Farm on Gravel Hill Rd causing extensive damage to the crops on the land.  It is estimated that approximately $3000 worth of crop damage was done.

It appears as though the motorist also did doughnuts and struck a post before leaving the scene.  If anyone has any information regarding the vandalism to the crops you are asked to call 911.

Chlorine Leak

On 8/29/2012 there was a chlorine vapor cloud that was released at the Asbury Pointe Water and Sewer Treatment Plant.  Several York Water Company employees were exposed to the chlorine when one of the employees cut into the cylinder.  Several roads in the surrounding area were closed, but were re-opened around 6 p.m. after the chlorine cylinder had been safely removed from the area.

Accident In East Manchester Township...

On August 17, 2012 Officers were dispatched to the 4400 Block of Starview Road for an  injury accident.  According to reports, a 2004 Mini Cooper was East on Starview RD and in the area of 4435 Starview RD and the right front wheel dropped off the shoulder of the road and into a drainage ditch.  The vehicle hit a concrete drain box with the right front undercarriage ripping the coil spring shock absorber from the car and snapping the axle which caused the right front wheel to bow away from the fender.


Burlgaries in Manchester Borough

There have been several burglaries in within the past week.  Two white male suspects were seen fleeing a detached garage.  A shed and vehicle were also broken into in the same are, but nothing was taken.  Residents of Manchester Borough are asked to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.  The suspects were seen around 1:30 AM.

Any information regarding these burglaries or if you see any suspicious activitiy please call 911 immediately.

DUI Arrest In East Manchester Township...

On August 17, 2012 around 1 A.M. Officers arrested a York woman for DUI in the 4100 Block of North George Street.

This is just a reminder to please keep your vehicle locked.

There have been several reports in the last few days of someone getting into vehicles that have been left unlocked.  If you have any information in regards to these incidents, please call 911 and ask to speak to an officer.
