**NEW** (Posted 9-18-2011)Thank you to everyone who participated in the 8th annual golf tournament this year. It was a great success. This year we had our highest turnout with 112 golfers! The tournament keeps growing every year and our hopes are to keep it that way.

**NEW**(Posted 9-9-2011) The recent rain has caused major flooding problems for the local areas. The Susquehanna River is expected to crest sometime overnight from Friday into Saturday. Please use extreme caution in the low lying areas. If you encounter a washed out roadway please do not try to drive through it.

**NEW**(Posted 9-9-2011) The Halloween Parade will be held on Sunday October 16, 2011. Motorists should expect extended delays during that time period. Traffic will not be allowed on North George Street between Beshore School Road and the square in Manchester Borough. Traffic will also not be allowed from the square in Manchester Borough East on Maple Street to the Mount Wolf Borough Park.

**NEW**(Posted 9-9-2011) On September 6th, 2011 the Sovereign Bank at 4157 N. George Street in East Manchester Township was robbed at gunpoint. The actor, who is described as white male 5'7" to 5'10" tall weighing approximately 170lbs, wearing camo jacket, blue jeans, black ski-mask and carrying a black umbrella. A gun was displayed and the actor left on foot heading North on North George Street. Anyone having any information please call the Northeastern Regional Police at 717-266-6195.

**NEW**Sometime between June 19th and June 20th 2011 an ATV was stolen from the 5100 Block of North George Street in East Manchester Township. The ATV is described as a 2007 Polaris "Sportsman 800" with a camo paint job. The ATV registration is "407W1". If anyone has any information regarding this stolen ATV please call 911.

**NEW**On June 19 and June 20th 2011 a rash of vehicle "eggings" were encountered in East Manchester Township. Several cars were egged as well as a couple houses. Anyone having any information please call 911.

**NEW**On June 17, 2011 at approximately 2348 Hrs the Sheetz store located at 4309 North George Street was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown 30-40 Year old, light skinned white male with blond hair. The suspect was wearing black shoes, black cargo style pants and a black ski mask. The suspect entered the Sheetz and displayed a full size semi-automatic handgun. Anyone having any information regarding the suspect please call 911.

**NEW**On Thursday June 16, 2011 Officer Kidd was dispatched an address on South Poplar Ct in East Manchester Township for a disturbance. Officer Kidd encountered Margaret Brooks and attempted to talk to the individual in an effort to assist her. Brooks brandished two knives and charged at Officer Kidd. Officer Kidd was able to deploy his Taser, unfortunately one Taser dart missed Brooks and she kept charging at him with both knives above her head. Moments later, Brooks tripped and fell in front of Officer Kidd and he was able to place her under arrest without harming her. Brooks was taken to a nearby hospital and given aid before she was arraigned on charges of Aggravated and Simple Assault on a Police Officer as well as Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
